final project unit 9


I believe it is important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically so they are able to adapt to all concepts of health and wellness and be able to guide and help those who may need a different perspective inn terms of their health. These three components towards health and wellness are very critical when in the profession of health and wellness being able to utilize each in such a strong aspect to achieve such optimal health is very beneficial to the professional and those who are receiving help. Some of the areas I need to develop to achieve my goals is my visualization skills having a stronger  psychological state on this area can help me develop a more positive perception towards me being successful and not putting myself down when going after new challenges in my life. I also would love to develop my spiritual in the area of meditation because I feel this is a key component to help me deal with the different diversities I face day in and day out and being able to relax myself in these moments of my life and situations I believe I can overlook and get pass things more often which would result in me being able to accomplish the goals I have set for myself due to me not dwelling on the negative of things so much.


Over the course of taking this class my score of wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically would give myself a overall rating of about an 7 with my physical and wellness being at the top due to working out five days a week consisting and doing 4 sessions of 30 min of cardiovascular exercise and also eating very health throughout the week. I have found my physical and wellness to be my inspiration towards me trying to improve my other areas due to when incorporating these two aspects of health in my I feel such in control and such at peace with so many things when practicing these two components on a daily basis. Spiritual wise I am ok would rate myself a 7 maybe a 8 I work on this aspect every chance I get because this part falls into the meditation area I want to achieve so I can deal with my stress I encounter over different periods of time. My psychological wellness is a 7 due to being a young adult and adapting to all the responsibilities that come along with growing up and trying my best to do well in school with working so much to keep a roof over my head can become very depressing and stressful at time based on not being able to do the things young people are able to at my age.

One goal I have for myself in the area of physical health is to eventually build my body into the physique of a bodybuilder and hopefully compete. This goal is going to be very challenging to do so because there is a lot of sacrifice that comes along when trying to acquire such a physique like a bodybuilder. Due to me having the desire to look like a body builder and one day compete I believe in the area of Psychological health I would like too work on the stillness of my mind being able to have a undisturbed, focus, and  positive outlook on things would be very beneficial when going through the journey of transforming my physique is such freakish way. One goal I have in this area is being more positive on life I find myself always thinking negative on the outcomes of things believe by being more optimistic on what I decide to do in terms of life decisions, short and long term goals I would be encourage to take on challenges that may seem impossible or very difficult to achieve more often which will help my confidence, self esteem, and not being afraid to take chances in life. In the area of spiritual I have decided to start going to church at least once a month even though this may not seem like a lot but this is a big step for me  when referring to this aspect. Believe by achieving this goal I can relieve some of the anger I have towards certain individuals and be more forgiving towards those who have hurt me so badly.

Strategies I would implement to foster growth in my spiritual would be going to church at least one Sunday out of the month and meditating. I would implement me going to church at least once a month by trying to go during the beginning of the month by me doing this it can encourage me to go again at the end of the month and also prevent me from talking myself out going. Meditation wise would take a little time to myself 15-20 minutes worth and just relax and imagine positive thoughts while doing so. Psychological wise would implement visualization and positive thinking. Visualization I would see things out before making any final decisions and for positive thinking would implement this by thinking about all the hard work and goals I have accomplish in life and the obstacles I have overcome to be where I am now. Physical would implement to foster growth by trying new exercises towards muscle growth and participating in yoga sessions. I would implement trying out new exercises by reading health and fitness articles and checking out different health and fitness websites on the alternatives of building muscle as for yoga would try at least once a week on my cardio and abdominal day to do a yoga session before working out.

I would asses my progress by logging my improvements into my log chart I have on my phone by doing this I can always keep track and set reminders on my calendar and alarms to stay on top of things. When feeling stress I would utilize my meditation techniques to relieve such stress. When being doubtful about something would think more positive and focus my attention on the better outcomes of things. When in uncomfortable situations or upset  with someone will unattached  myself from the problem and be more understanding and optimistic when dealing with such emotional factors. I still have plenty of room for progress in all the areas of health and wellness I will continue to push forward and not be discourage to overcome any boundary that comes my way as long as I keep this mind setting believe I can achieve optimal health and evolve into wonderful human being.
